The AccessAva Newsletter

We're excited to share that we've sent out the first edition of the AccessAva newsletter.

Each edition will bring together the latest news, product updates, inspiring user stories and opportunities to get involved as we continue to improve AccessAva and expand access to trusted social care information.

Here's a look at what we covered in our first newsletter.

Celebrating over 25,000 conversations

AccessAva has now supported more than 25,000 conversations with people seeking clear, accessible guidance about social care law and their rights.

This milestone reflects the growing need for trusted legal information that helps people understand their options and take action with confidence. As health and social care reform continues to evolve, we're proud to be helping people navigate complex systems with practical, lawyer-verified guidance.

Anne's story: "It gave me the confidence to speak up"

One of the highlights of this edition is Anne's powerful story.

As a carer for three family members, Anne had gone four years without a single day of respite. After discovering AccessAva through Access Social Care, she learnt about her legal rights as a carer and successfully challenged her local authority to secure the support she needed.

Her story is a reminder that understanding your rights can make a real difference—not only in accessing services, but in giving people the confidence to advocate for themselves and their families.

New feature spotlight: Browse Resources

We also introduced one of our newest features: Browse Resources.

This dedicated section of AccessAva brings together practical tools including legal letters, factsheets and Easy Read guidance, making it easier for people to quickly find trusted information and take action without needing to complete a conversation first.

It's another step towards making legal support more accessible whenever it's needed.

Help us improve support for self-funders

Many people arrange and pay for their own care without financial support from their local authority, often navigating difficult decisions with little information or guidance.

We're developing new resources specifically for self-funders and are inviting people with lived experience to help shape this work. Whether you've funded care yourself or supported a loved one, your experiences can help us create guidance that better reflects the challenges people face.

Coming soon: Legal letters direct to your inbox

We're continuing to improve the AccessAva experience.

One feature currently in development will allow users to send legal letters directly to their inbox, making it quicker and easier to review, share and use them when contacting local authorities or keeping important records.

We're looking forward to sharing more as this feature becomes available.

Growing our partner network

We're also celebrating another exciting milestone: 40 organisations are now hosting AccessAva.

By embedding AccessAva within their own websites, our partners are making trusted legal guidance available where people already go for advice and support. Together, we're helping more people access expert information while giving organisations valuable insight into the needs of their communities.
